Katherine C. Patterson, 83, Hokes Bluff, died Wednesday May 16, 2007.A native of Calhoun County, Mrs. Patterson was born on May 11, 1924, the daughter of the late Willie Dee and Gracie Mae Lane Reeves. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker.Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert Patterson, in 1996.She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Brenda Godfrey, Hokes Bluff; one son, Ray Edwin Reeves, also of Hokes Bluff; two sisters, Maurice "Susie" Johnson, Piedmont, and Mary Frances Bowens, Rainbow City; six grandchildren and their spouses, Tommy and Mary Godfrey, Timmy and Mandy Godfrey, Amy and Randy Key, Amanda and Ashley Reeves and Paul Reeves; and great-grandchildren, Chad, Colton, Will and Luke Godfrey, Josh, Jake and Alexis Reeves, Donovan Reeves and Macey Simpson.Funeral services for Mrs. Patterson will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from the graveside at Young's Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Jay Daughtery will officiate.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.The family wishes to thank the following people for their assistance and services: Gadsden Regional Medical Center SICU, the seventh and eighth-floor nurses, Dr. Vincente Torregosa and Gadsden Health and Rehab.The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tommy, Timmy, Chad and Colton Godfrey, Ed DeBerry and Mike Stallings.Folsom Funeral Home, Piedmont, is in charge.
