Katharine Jones Allen, 66, of Madison, N.J., passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2013, after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, N.J. Visiting will be one hour prior to service. Born in Morristown, N.J., Katharine (Katie) resided in Madison since 1971. She attended Drew University and graduated from the County College of Morris and Kean University. She enjoyed working in the technology field for many years as a senior consultant at Computer Sciences Corp. and most recently as a senior systems analyst at Con Edison, New York, N.Y. Katie, a devoted mother, grandmother, and Mets fan, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially attending their different events and activities. Daughter of the late Joseph Jones and Grace Adams Jones, Katie is survived by her daughters, Katharine Allen Errico and her husband, Philip,and Jennifer Allen and her fiance, Timothy Flynn; her brothers, Peter (Raya Koren) Jones and James (Karen) Jones; and sister-in-law, Shirley Jones; three cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, and Katharine; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Timothy.
