Katharine F. (Hurley) Peters of Bridgewater passed away at her home Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, after a short illness. She was 64. Born in Brockton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1967, a graduate from Bridgewater State College with a degree in education in 1971. She taught at the Parkview School in Easton for 3 years and was a resident of Bridgewater for 32 years. She was the beloved wife of Joseph E. Peters Jr.; the devoted daughter of John F. Hurley and the late Katharine A. (Mahoney) Hurley of North Easton; loving mother of Michael J. Peters, Raynham F.D., and his wife MaryKate of Raynham, Brian E. Peters and his wife Kimberly of Raynham and Sean F. Peters, Bridgewater F.D., and his wife Shannon of Bridgewater; sister of John C. Hurley of South Easton and Timothy V. Hurley of North Easton; stepsister of Paul Hurley of South Easton and Eileen Hurley of Gardner; half sister of Maureen Willard of South Easton; grandmother of Lucy and Jack, Brian Jr. and Timothy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 38 Center St., Easton, Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 193 Main St., Easton, Saturday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
