SMITH, KAREN G., 63, of Germantown, TN, formerly of Louisville, died Tuesday June 7, 2011 of complications from colon cancer. Karen is survived by her husband, David; her son, Matthew; her daughter, Lauren Kauffman; her grandson, Riley Smith; her parents, Jacky and Lewis Garrett; and her sisters, Edith Alirezay and Sarah Allgeier. Her service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands.
