Karen Ware Davis, 64, of Simpsonville, died peacefully in her home on May 30, 2007.Born in Washington Court House, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Gwendolyn Mossbarger Ware. Karen was a graduate of Ohio University, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority.Karen retired from Arrow Wine in Dayton, Ohio, after 20 years as a wine and food buyer.She is survived by her husband, Ray A. Davis of the home; daughter, Emily Davis Clay, son-in-law, Greg Clay, and grandson, Spencer, all of Atlanta; son, Justin Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio; and brother, Gary Ware of Dayton, Ohio.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of The Mackey Mortuary.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winyah Community Hospice Care, 114 B Hospital Drive, Simpsonville, SC 29681.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mackeymortuary.com.The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
