->Karen Clay, 57, from Collingswood, N. J. and recently from Seneca View, Montour Falls, NY passed away peacefully after an extended illness on January 7, 2011. Karen was born February 7, 1953 in Lyons, N.Y. She grew up in Tully, NY and then graduated from SUNY of Buffalo. She became a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. She worked at Binghamton Rehab, and then Moss Rehab in Philadelphia, Pa.She enjoyed hiking, camping, arts and crafts, traveling and working with kids with special needs. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Collingswood, N.J. While there, she volunteered her time working with "God's Special Children".Karen was the daughter of the late Donald B. Clay and Margaret J. Clay. She was the proud mother of Justin Michael Clay, currently of Audubon, N.J. and foster mother to Lisa Forrest. She adored her grandchildren, Winn and Ashley Thomas, both of Collingswood, N.J. She is survived by her children and grandchildren and 8 siblings, Rev. Jackie Sullivan, Rochester, NY, Doug Clay (Sheila Morgan) of Mooresburg, TN, Sharon Hunt (John) of Burdett, NY, Susan Halstead of Rochester, NY, Bruce Clay (Jean) of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Peggy Martin (Jim) of Reno, NV. Rick Clay of Colorado Springs, Co. and Ron Clay of Auburn, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, brother David, and sisters Barb Bellavia and Virginia Clay.We wish to extend our gratitude to the wonderful care she received while a resident at Seneca View.A memorial service will be held for Karen Clay in the Activity Room at Seneca View at Schuyler Hospital at 220 Steuben St. in Montour Falls, NY on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:30 pm.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Huntington Disease Society of America, www.Hdsa.org/donations.html.
