Karen B. (Peters) Lee 54, of Binghamton Karen B. (Peters) Lee soared gracefully with the angels on Thursday, July 10th, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Karen was surrounded by her loving family at home. She was predeceased by her mother, Betty Peters Lee. She is survived by her son, Keith (Swingle) Tanner; daughter, Crystal and her family, Lateise, children, Mariah, Gabrielle, Kayleise; Karen's twins, son, Kurt and daughter, Jenna; her brother, Leo and his wife, Deb and their children, Chad, Shaun and Bridget; sister, Diana (Dee Dee) and her family, Wade Sr., Angel, Wade Jr., Kathleen and Brad; sister, Paula and her husband, Philip and their children, Tyler, Little Philip, Karin and Tracey; special family, Helen, Mike, Tammy, Katina; as well as several aunts, uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews, and several cousins. Our family would like to send out a special prayer for our niece, Angel and her daughter, Natalina, for the tragic death of Angel's husband and Natalina's father, Luz Portabanco, who died July 5th in an auto accident. We would also like to thank the hospice staff, especially Linda and Cindy for the wonderful care they gave Karen during her illness. Karen was a compassionate, loving and very caring person. She brought a lot of joy to those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Karen, we love you. We thank you very much for sharing your life with all of us and letting us be a part of yours. Rest now, no goodbyes, we'll see you again, by and by. Sleep with the angels, light up the skies, spread your wings, now you can fly. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 15th, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the Centenary-Chenango Street United Methodist Church, 438 Chenango St. in Binghamton, with Pastor Maggie Moore officiating.
