WHITTAKER, Kenneth E., 82, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at home following an extended ill-ness. He was born and raised in Pawtucket R.I.; Served in the US mili-tary for 22 years, was a decorated veteran of three wars and is a retir-ee of the Alabama Gas Corpora-tion. He is survived by his wife Ver-na Cusick Whittaker, two sons Da-vid Michael Whittaker, Douglas Martin Whittaker, his wife Terri Hilli-ard Whittaker, daughter Deba Whit-taker Hempstead, six grandchil-dren, Bo Seay, his wife Wendy, Kel-lie Seay Dyer, her husband Rodney, Martin Allen Hempstead, his wife Camilla, Jason Hilton Hempstead, Amy Marie Whittaker, and Douglas Martin Whittaker II; six great-grand-children; one niece and two neph-ews. He is preceded in death by his father Elmer R. Whittaker; his mother Grace Trusedale Whittaker; and two brothers Ralph and Walter Whittaker. He was remembered at a private service where his family celebrated his life.
