Kathy J. Smith, 44, of Mount Washington, died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. She was an employee at General Electric. She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Lillian Smith Sr.; two brothers, James Jr. and Earl L. Smith; two nieces, Melissa Coy and Michelle Duke; and her brother-in-law, Gordon Duke. She is survived by four brothers, Bill, Ricky, Ronnie and Robert Smith; seven sisters, Linda Duke, Cindy Hileman, Donna Johnson, Bonnie Smith, Nancy Carrico, Janice and Janet Smith; her companion, Kenny Holthouser; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery.
