MOORE, KATHERINE BRUNER 85, of Huntersville, NC, formerly of Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA, died August 6th at The Havens of Highland Creek. She was born on October 31, 1925 in Birmingham to the late Thomas M. Bruner and Katherine Mozzelle Wood Bruner. She is preceded in death by her son Orbun Troy Moore, III of Atlanta. She is survived by her son Larry Moore and wife Elana of Concord and their children, Jacqueline, Rachel and Elizabeth and her brother Thomas Mallard Bruner, Jr and his wife Henrietta of Houston TX. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 12:00 Noon. Amongst a lifetime of achievements and helping others, she was an editor for a major Atlanta newspaper, completed 2 college degrees and arranged a library in memory of her son, Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Troy Moore Library at Georgia State University, Atlanta GA. >>
