Justina Marie "Betsy" Williams, 85, Burnell Court, New Smyrna Beach, entered into rest Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at Regency Elder Care Center, Mango Tree Drive, Edgewater. Betsy was born Aug. 10, 1920. A native of Burlington, W.Va., she was awarded the Army/Navy "E" award for her ballistics laboratory research. Mrs. Williams moved to this area in 1952. Locally, she worked many years for the Volusia County School System in food service, and 10 years for Wal-Mart in New Smyrna Beach. In addition to crocheting and quilting, Betsy enjoyed socializing with her friends, playing pinochle and gardening, which she loved. She was predeceased in May 2003 by her husband, Phil. Survivors include her son, Arthur (Rachael) Williams, New Smyrna Beach; brother, Ralph (Susie) Webb, Burlington, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions suggested to a charity of choice.
