June Miller, 73, Rogersville, passed away at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008, in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. June was born December 15, 1934, in Adonis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Virgil and Winnie (Richards) Walker. She loved taking care of her family and enjoyed cooking, reading and traveling. She was also preceded in death by her husband William A. Miller in 1994. She is survived by a son, Rod Miller and his wife, Brenda, Rogersville; a daughter, Terry Miller, Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Janice Actkinson, Harrisonville; a grandson, Chris Miller, Rogersville; a granddaughter, Kim Miller, Springfield; her companion for over 14 years, Cyrus Birdsall, Rogersville; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008, in Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, near Urbana, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2008, in J.D.Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. The family requests memorial donations to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society, 3161 W.
