Julia "June" Jackson SPARTANBURG, SC-- Julia Young Jackson of 70 Beverly Hills Drive, died Tuesday, September 17 at Magnolia Manor at the age of 83. Lovingly known as "June Bug", she was a lifelong resident of Spartanburg and the daughter of the late Moses E. Young and Mildred Rhinehart Young. Mrs. Jackson was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She passed away in the arms of the Lord and will be greatly missed. Surviving are two daughters, Risa J. Slusser and Janice Lynn Cartee, both of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Josh Cartee, Lauren Cartee, Nicole Cartee and Dennis Slusser, all of Spartanburg; two great grandchildren, Samantha and Caylee Girard; and one brother, Charles R. Young. She was predeceased by her husband, Grover (G. C.) Jackson, a son Keith R. Jackson, a grandson Jeremy Cartee; two brothers Moses E. Young and Algie R. Young; and one sister, Louise Y. Flynn - all from Spartanburg. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the nursing staff at Magnolia Manor on Serpentine Drive and Hospice. Also, special thanks are extended to Evelyn K. Young, Charles R. Young and Ray Young for their love and assistance shown during our loss. Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Bible Truth Chapel (222 Floyd Road, Spartanburg) by Rev. Larry T. Buchanan.
