THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Julia May Wilson Ansley, 88, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loved ones, Sunday, March 25, 2012, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in Westview Cemetery with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Mrs. Julia was born in Hancock County, but was a longtime resident of Thomson. She was a retired Inspector for the Thomson Company after many years of service. She leaves behind children and grandchildren, who thank God for everyday we shared with this wonderful person. We were privileged to call Mama & Granny- this beautiful person who always reached out with unselfish love and compassion. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Becky Ashley, Thomson; her two sons, Paul Wilson and Steve Wilson, both of Thomson; six grandchildren, Robert F. Wilson, Joseph D. Ashley, David P. Ashley, Steven Paul Wilson, Adam M. Wilson, and Amanda L. Wilson; her great-grandson, Joseph T. Ashley; and several nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert F. Wilson, Joseph D. Ashley, David P. Ashley, Steven Paul Wilson, Adam M. Wilson, Mickey May, Jimmy May, Buddy May, Gary May, Michael Welch, Frank Darsey, and Robert Darsey. Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home.
