Judy Smith Utica Judy Smith, 71, of Utica, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011, at Faxton-St.Luke's Healthcare. She was born in Auburn, NY, on March 31, 1940, the daughter of Glen and Katherine Torke Haynes and attended local schools. On January 21, 1965, she married Walter Smith in Great Bend, PA. Judy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed being a homemaker. Her survivors include her loving husband, Walter, of Utica; four sons, Walter, Glen, and Scott, all of Utica, and Kevin, of Oneonta; two sisters, Carol Buchalla and Linda Fuller, both of Cortland; a brother, Gerald and his wife, Mary Haynes, of Cicero; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Vickey; and two sons, Keith and Richard.
