Judith (Judy) Medlin Smith, 52, wife of Johnny Otis Smith, of 451 Fowler Road, West Union, S.C., died Thursday, February 1, 2007, at her residence.A native of West Union, S.C., Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Jesse Leonard and Margaret Newel Medlin. She was previously employed as a registered nurse with Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, West Union.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by a brother, David Medlin of Fresno, California.The body is at Davenport Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007.Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2007, from Ebenezer Baptist Church in West Union, with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca, S.C.The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.The family is at the residence.
