Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, in Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Judy Bennett Johnson, 71, of Gainesville. The Rev. Raymond Latty will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour. Mrs. Johnson passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014. Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Hall County and was the daughter of the late Gus and Mary Bennett. She had worked at Aramark and was a homemaker. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Gwinnett County. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Betty Kramer.She is survived by husband, Larry Johnson of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Judy Payne, Douglas Payne of Gainesville, Danny and Kristen Payne of North Carolina, and David Johnson of Indiana; daughter, Amy R. Martin of Indiana; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Bennett Brown of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
