LINLEY, Judith Margaret (Smith) Age 55. Judy's family is deeply saddened to announce her passing on September 13, 2005. Jude was the beloved spouse of Bill and admired daughter-in-law of Les Linley. She was an incomparable mother and friend to daughters Sarah (Jody) and Rachel (David). She was the cherished daughter of Gordon and Vera (Lawes) Smith of Ottawa, sister to Diane (Bruce), Gordon (Lynda) and Debbie (Nihal) and much-loved aunt and great-aunt to ten nieces and nephews. She found strength in her friends, especially her girlfriend Pam (Ken) McCutcheon. Judy passed peacefully at home surrounded by the love and light of her family and God. The family, and especially Judy, was most appreciative of all those who attended the miraculous celebration of her life held recently. The outpouring of care and love shown to Judy and her family, affirmed the amazing impact she had on people throughout her life. She approached life with an abundantly, generous heart and a gentle, selfless spirit. Her quick wit and poignant insights will be greatly missed by many. Special thanks are extended to Doctors Peggy Leighton, Daniel Rayson and Serhat Perk for their dedicated care and to all her nurses for their compassionate attention. Internment will take place at a later date at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa; no service will be held in Halifax. Donations, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. "Light is love and love is light and we have all this light within us."
