MACDONALD, Judith Anne - Passed away peacefully in her 63rd year on Thursday, May 7, 2009, surrounded by her family at the Stedman community Hospice after a short illness. Beloved wife of Robert Macdonald; loving mother of Susan Reid Elliott (Wes); Laura Reid (Steve); Joseph Reid (Tanya), all of Brantford. Also mother to Heather Masson (Bill) and Terri Blay (Al) of St. Catharines. Sadly missed by grandchildren Tavia, Lily, Jeffrey, Jason, Mackenzie, and Maddison; lovingly remembered by Mom Daphne Macdonald of Brantford as well as family in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Predeceased by her mother Florence, father Harry, and brothers Charles and Kevin Johnson of Nova Scotia. Judy studied pottery at Northern College in Timmins and loved to knit, hook rugs and create beautiful afghans. Her loving work is in every home in the family. She loved cooking, baking and preserving. Countless family gatherings were blessed with her loving efforts. Special thanks to nephew Kevin Johnson and friend Bernadette MacNeil (both of Nova Scotia) whose efforts made it possible for Judy to spend some of her last days in the home she loved. Also to the staff at the Stedman Community Hospice, the Community Care Access Centre and the Brantford General Hospital. At Judy's request, there will be no visitation. Cremation and a family memorial gathering has taken place. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice in memory of Judy would be appreciated.
