Juanita Elizabeth Smith - Savannah -Juanita Elizabeth Lanier Smith, 69, of Savannah, Georgia, died Tuesday morning, November 14, 2006, at Tara at Thunderbolt. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Otis Lanier and Juanita Johns Lanier. Ms. Smith attended worship at the Salvation Army chapel. She was with the Savannah Morning News for more than 15 years and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clint Smith, and a sister, Geraldine Wise. Surviving are three daughters, Robbin Coleman and her husband, Robbie, and Sandra Clark and her husband, Randy, all of Savannah, Georgia, and Jennie Maher and her husband, John, of Lake Worth, Florida; one son, Timothy L. Smith of Savannah, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Vaughn Coleman and his wife Sara, Britt Coleman, Gena Orr and her husband, Darin, Heather Smith, Tim Smith, Jr., Caroline Clark, Matthew Maher, Andrew Maher and Noah Maher; one great-grand daughter, Gracie Coleman, and two sisters, Beatrice Horne and Shirley Harris, both of Savannah, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue. Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Major Cheryl Hunter.
