Juanita Weathers Chestein Davis, 85, widow of Raymond E. Davis, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at National Healthcare Center of Laurens. She was first married to Lee Arthur Chestein. Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late David L. Weathers Sr. and Nina Linder Weathers. She was a member of Rabun Creek Baptist Church and had retired from the Laurens Glass Co. Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Susan Chestein of Laurens; one daughter and son-in-law, Tricia and Barry Wilson of Columbia; and three grandchildren, Darren Chestein of Laurens, Brandon and Liz Ross of Columbia, and Tad and Marshay Craig of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Dr. Barry Wilson and the Rev. J.D. Shiflet with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests that memorials be made to The Doxology Institute, a nonprofit ministry, 122 Steeplechase North, Columbia, SC 29209.
