John W. Hooks, Jr. - SAVANNAH - John W. Bill Hooks, Jr., 71, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in Savannah. A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, Bill graduated from Jenkins High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. He retired after many years of service from the United States Post Office. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Hooks, Sr. and Geraldine Hamm Hooks, and by a son, Patrick Hooks. He is survived by his daughter, Amber Hooks Moak and her husband, Alexander, of Greenwood, MS; his granddaughter, Addyson Moak of Greenwood, MS; two sons, John Hooks III and David Hooks, both of Houston, TX; and two sisters, Donna Hooks and Stacy Hooks. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, followed by a graveside service At 11:30 am in Greenwich Cemetery.
