WILLIAMS, Dr. Joyce Wolfgang, 66, died Monday, October 17, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Eldred Leslie Williams Sr. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3717 Thomasville Road. A private family burial will be at MeadowWood Memorial Park. Bevis Funeral Home of Tallahassee, (850) 385-2193, is handling arrangements. A native of Tampa, and the only child of Fred and Margaret Kerr Wolfgang, Dr. Joyce Wolfgang Williams graduated from mortality Monday. Dr. Williams received her college education at Florida State University and was a specialist for the state Department of Education from 1962 until 1967. She was then an FSU associate professor of child development from 1969 until 1979 and a summer visiting professor at Brigham Young University in 1976, 1978 and 1984. She was the co-author of two college texts and one popular-press book. She was a prolific writer of personal histories, poetry and letters. In 1995, she w as named to the National FHA/HERO Hall of Fame for 42 years of service to that organization. Joyce played the piano, organ, harp, saxophone and flute, and loved to travel and entertain with heart-smart meals. She taught -piano, many community classes and Gospel Doctrine Sunday school courses at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband, Leslie, served a mission for the church as teachers at the Boston Institute of Religion in 2002 with classes at Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston College, Wellesley College and Brown University in Providence, R.I. She is also survived by five children, Dr. Leslie Jr. and wife Michelle of Clemson University; Fred, an attorney, and wife Caroline, of Austin, Texas; Joel, an engineer for Intel Corp., and wife Kristy, of Chandler, Ariz.; Margaret-Alice Hammond, a dietician, and husband Whitney, of Sandy, Utah; and Joy Schaerrer, a health educator, and husband Scott, of Houston, Texas. Other survivors include eight gr andchildren, Emmy, Bethany and Maxwell Wolfgang, Adam, Ethan and Olivia Williams, and Spencer Kerr and Carter Hammond. Bevis Funeral Home
