JOYCE WADEWILLIAMS, 88 LAKE ALFRED - Joyce Wade Williams, 88, passed away on July 18, 2011 due to heart failure. Born Lois Joyce Wade on June 6, 1923 in Lake Alfred, Florida, she was the middle child of Lindsy Howard and Mossie Lee (Sarver) Wade. At the time she was born her father was the town marshall of Lake Alfred. After graduation from Lake Alfred High School she went to the Tampa Business College. During that time she met and married Sterling Joel Robertson. He was a B26 bomber pilot in WWII They lived in Maryland where he was from, and raised their three daughters there. Later she married Kenneth David Williams. Joyce retired from Westminister Knitt where she was the payroll clerk. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Alfred and Woodmen of the World Lodge 106. For many years, before moving back to FL in 2000, she was a member of the Matinee Homemakers Club in Carroll County Md. For 25 years she made and sold crafts at the Carroll County Farm Museum's Fall Harvest Days and became known as the "Spider Lady". She enjoyed crafts, painting, feeding her squirrels and her dog Holly. She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Lee Gardner (William), Betty Jo Eyler (Michael) and Vivian R. Reaver (Gary), stepson Kenneth D. Williams, Jr., six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded In death by her parents, her husbands, two sisters: Lena Conrad and Lola Gustave Wade, two bro-thers, Lindsy Howard Wade Jr. and Arthur J. Wade. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11am at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Alfred. Rev Mike Jones of FBCLA will officiate. Condolences to the family @ www.ott-laughlin.com
