After the war, she had a long and gratifying career at IMF in Washington, DC as a Secretary to the British Representative. She retired in 1974 to "Hilcolm", her home in Montserrat, W.I. Joyce was proud to receive an "MBE" from the British Government while in Montserrat. She loved to travel, to read, to crochet and to enjoy the arts. Her connection to the Anglican Church was an important part of her life. She gave her time and energy freely to friends and relatives in Canada, United States and Montserrat. She returned to her home in Burnaby in 1997. Our thanks to the staff of Minoru Residence, 2E for their care of Joyce in her last years.
