Joyce Johnson, 77, of 214 Devon Drive, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002. Born in Union, she was the wife of John A. Johnson, and a daughter of the late Wallace Gallman and Nora Manus Martin. Mrs. Johnson was a housewife - a devoted wife and mother, and loved her home. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Gail Beatrice Britt and husband Jeff, of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Ruby Hill and husband Kay; and a brother, Hubert Martin and wife Betty, all of Lexington, N.C. The family will receive friends from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence.
