Joyce J. "Joey" Miller, 52, of Louisville, passed away Monday at her residence. She was a native of Hart County, KY, a nurse at Baptist Hospital East and a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Michele R. Miller; her mother, Mary E. Madden; three sisters, Carolyn R. Frye, Patricia M. Selvy and her husband, Marvin and Nancy N. Alvey and her husband, Rich; and four nieces, Mary "Leesa" Martinez and her husband, Mike, Crystal Frye, Amy Alvey and Dallas Selvy. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman Family Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Expressions of sympathy may go to American Cancer Society or Ovarian Awareness of Kentucky.
