Davis, Joyce Dorothea, 73, of Lake Worth passed away on March 29, 2009. She was born November 13, 1935 in Trenton, NJ the daughter of Floyd and Eva Davis. Joyce is survived by her sister Janet D. Greenfield and cousins Marjorie and Alice Foster who live in Florida and other cousins who live out of state. Joyce attended Syracuse University and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She graduated from Rutgers University with a BA and Cortland University of NY with a MA. She liked needlework, reading, traveling and the beach. She especially enjoyed working for her church, Bethel Assembly of God and writing religious poetry. Joyce taught in the states of NY, NJ, and FL before retiring after 35 years of teaching in FL. She worked on several educational workshops and was awarded teacher of the year by the Boca Raton Business Association. Joyce was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday April 14 at Bethel Assembly of God, 4320 South Congress Avenue, Lake Worth.
