Mrs. Joyce Dean Little Williams, age 65, of 2576 Pleasant Hill Circle, Martin, Ga., widow of Leamon Union Williams, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at Stephens County Hospital, Toccoa, Ga., following a sudden illness. Mrs. Williams was born July 19, 1936, in Union County, N.C., to Sadie Mae Benton Little and to the late Carl Niven Little. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Ross Valve Manufacturing. Surviving are three daughters, Lorie Williams Moon, Pickens, Amy S. Williams, Lavonia, Ga., Lisa Williams Manus, Eastanollee, Ga.; one son, Dr. Kenneth Leamon Williams, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; one sister, Shirley Little Shumate, Monroe, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Keith Fulghum, Charlotte, N.C., Kim Rankin, Fountain Inn, Melissa Fulghum, Houston, Texas, Brandy Stroud and Ken Taylor, Lavonia, Ga., Seth Manus, Eastanollee, Ga., Andrew Belter, Gulf Breeze, Fla., Erin Castro, Jacksonville, N.C., Chris Moon, Easley; and two great-grandchildren, Keirian Rankin, Fountain Inn, Darius Fulghum Alexander, Charlotte, N.C. Preceding Mrs. Williams in death were three grandchildren, Marcus Roberson, Niven Roberson, Luke Manus. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at the Hamby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Williard Crider officiating. Interment will be in the Lavonia City Cemetery immediately following the Chapel service. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. today, Jan. 21, 2002, at Hamby Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Williams at 2576 Pleasant Hill Circle, Martin, Ga. "I believe there are angels among us. Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
