Moore, Joyce Ann (Luth)Endicott: Joyce Ann (Luth) Moore, 78, of Endicott and formerly of Apalachin, passed away on August 9, 2012. She was born in Binghamton on July 10, 1934, the daughter of Frederick and Mary (Kiley) Luth and was also predeceased in 1985 by her husband, Charles Moore. She is survived by three daughters, Susan Bachman, Diane Eck (Ted), Kathleen Moore and husband Edward Woodring, and their families - Matthew Bachman, Jason and Geoffrey Eck and Benjamin Woodring. She is also survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor and Jay Shoemaker and Geraldine and Richard Cary, Sr., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce was a 1952 graduate of Binghamton North High School. Her career as a registered nurse began at State Hospital in 1953 and brought her to Memorial 5 at Binghamton General Hospital. Following her retirement from the hospital she moved into the Vestal Middle & High Schools as a Para, where she could keep an eye on her grandsons and had an opportunity to make many new friends. Her faith remained strong, especially throughout this difficult journey. Before her illness she was able to fulfill many of her dreams to travel, see the world and share her life with her family and friends. Family was her first priority. Her greatest joy in life came from attending her grandsons' concerts, recitals, sporting events and graduations. Per Joyce's request, there will be no viewing or calling hours. A mass celebrating her life will be offered at St. Ambrose Church, Endicott, NY, on Friday, August 24th, at 10 a.m. Many thanks to the staff at Ideal Skilled Nursing Facility and to Dr. Ronald Harris and the staff of Broome Oncology for the special care she received.
