Edinburgh, Ind. Graveside service for Joyce Ann Cox, 59, formerly of Lawrence County, will be Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Black Ground Cemetery in Town Creek with Bro. Bertis Ray officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cox, who died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at UAB Hospital, was born May 26, 1950, in Alabama to Horace Morris and Mollie Manley Morris. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Hatton. Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, William Harold Cox; two sons, Dakota Lee Cox and Hillard Andrew Dawson, both of Indiana; three daughters, Brenda Jeffreys of Illinois, Billie Jo Hood of Hatton and Crystal Montes-Torres of Decatur; one brother, Noel Morris of Leighton; one sister, Mavis Burney of Muscle Shoals; and 14 grandchildren.Pallbearers will be family and friends.
