Joy Marie Jackson CHESNEE, SC-- Joy Marie Jackson, 64, of 111 Buckwood Acres went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2011. A native of Saxon, SC, she was the wife of William Christopher Jackson and the daughter of the late Audrey and Ruth Edmonds Pruitt. She was a member of Cooley Springs Baptist Church and was a former member of Fingerville Baptist Church for 26 years. Mrs. Jackson was a postal clerk with the Fingerville Post Office. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Chad Jackson and wife, Tanya, of Roebuck and Travis Jackson of Inman; three brothers, Jerry Pruitt and wife, Sandra, Wilbur Pruitt and wife, Barbara, and Donald Pruitt and wife, Jackie; three grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, Jacob Jackson, and Megan Lancaster; and aunt, Reba Lamb and husband, Butch. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Toney and Rosa Smalley; and two brothers, Carroll Pruitt and Jimmy Pruitt. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Cooley Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. David Kite officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Greene, Wayne Tucker, Eddie Brown, and Bruce Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cooley Springs Baptist Church, 950 Martin Camp Road, Chesnee, SC 29323.
