LUCAS Josephine Sody Lucas, age 86, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Lucas, a homemaker was born in Lakeville to the late Paul and Mary Sody, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was the widow of Anthony Lucas. Survivors include her beloved children, Richard Lucas of East Haven, Mary Ann Castro of Port Richey, Fla., and Paula Valle of Bridgeport; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Angela Belmonte of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday January 14, at 9 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Cathedral Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Monroe. At the family's request calling hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations to a charity of choice.
