->WINSLOW -- Josephine McGee Peters, 90, of Winslow, formerly of Randolph, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, Waterville.She was born Aug. 26, 1917, a daughter of Chester and Ruth Moore Marson.She graduated from Gardiner High School, class of 1934. She and her first husband, Austin McGee, owned and operated a store in Gardiner for a few years. They were part owners of Goggin's IGA for a few years. She also worked at Health Tex. She retired from McGee's Market, where she worked for her son.Josephine enjoyed her family. They were most important in her life. She loved gardening, music, reading and horse racing. She was a gourmet cook who enjoyed her grandchildren coming over for special treats.She was predeceased by her husbands, Austin McGee and Howard Peters; her sons, Austin McGee, Gary Cole and Dan Beaulieu; her brother, Donald Marson; and her sister, Geraldine Hickman.She is survived by her daughters, Donna Cole Rose and her husband, David, of Winslow, and Lynn Beaulieu and her husband, Ron, of West Gardiner; daughter-in-law Dawn McGee, of West Gardiner; stepdaughter Diane Shea, of Pittston; grandchildren Marilyn, Jackie, Kelly and Lisa McGee, Amy Veilleux, April Wood, Ann Marie Poplaski, Troy and Todd Beaulieu, and Tammy Priputin; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and her special cat, Tobi, and a niece, Linda Rubino.There will be no visiting hours. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Extension Cemetery, Randolph. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home at 355 Windsor St., Randolph.A special thanks to Helping Hands, Lisa Poulin and her best friend, Donna Proctor, who took excellent care of her and also to Dr. A and nursing staff at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit in Waterville.
