Josephine M. Wood, 90, Punta Gorda, died Dec. 1, 2002. She was born July 12, 1912, in Sioux Falls, S.D., and came to Punta Gorda in 1972 from Fort Lauderdale. She retired as a teacher, an officer in the Loyal Order of the Women of the Moose and a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Gordon MacLeod of Opoka; a daughter, Sandra J. Kakritz of Punta Gorda; a sister, Dorothy R. Cox of Columbia, S.C.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Palms and Pines RV Park, 5400 Riverside Drive, Punta Gorda. Kays-Ponger Royal Palm Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel, is in charge.
