Restaurant ManagerLAKE ALFRED -- Mrs. Josephine P. Carter of Lake Alfred died of heart failure Thursday (March 13, 2003) at her home. She was 83.Born Aug. 4, 1919, in Staten Island, N.Y., she came here from Eagle Lake in 1980. She was a restaurant manager at a Holiday Inn. She was a member of Polk City Assembly of God.Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Carter, her son, Ronald Carter, and her daughter, Audrey Kahnert. She is survived by her son, Glenn Carter, Durham, N.C.; sister, Florence Hill, Spring Hill; seven grandchildren; and eleven greatgrandchildren.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Crisp-Coon Funeral Chapel, Lake Alfred. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
