CHARLOTTE, NC-- Josephine (Jo) Anderson Carter, 79, passed into eternity on August 10,2006, after a brief battle with lung cancer.She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Sidney LeRoy Carter; two daughters, JoRoyce Carter Robinson (Frank) and Karen Carter Reeves; and grandchildren, Ian Carter Robinson, Krystin Jourdan Reeves, and Barron Robert Reeves. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn and Peggy, brother Pete; and grandson Alec Lloyd Robinson.Jo was devoted to her family, loved her game of bridge, delighted in square dancing, line dancing, and Tai Chi, and always enjoyed the company of her pet cats.The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Aldersgate, Hospice & Palliative Care of Charlotte, and Dr. Reza Nazemzadeh for the extraordinary care and kindness extended by all during Jo's illness.A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Aldersgate, 3800 Shamrock Road, Charlotte, NC at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 13, 2006.
