->AUGUSTA -- Joseph Paul Roger Jacques, 61, of Franklin Street died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at his home following a long illness.He was born in Augusta on Nov. 4, 1944, a son of the late Robert and Alice (Quirion) Jacques.Mr. Jacques attended Augusta schools and had been employed by Sid Pare and Son; Bates Manufacturing, Edwards Division; and Lipman Poultry.Roger was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps on Nov. 5, 1964.He was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church and was a member of the National Rifle Association, National Truck Drivers Association and Handyman of America.Mr. Jacques was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Doris Levasseur. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Ernest Levasseur of Farmingdale; a nephew, Richard Levasseur; two sons-at-heart, Ronald Ducy and his wife, Donna, of Augusta and Donald Ladson and Julie Ladson of Augusta; their children, Victoria, Joshua, Crystal, Christina McIntyre and her husband, Jerome, Cassandra Rich and her husband, Jeremy, and Angelique Jasper and her husband, Kyle; as well as seven grandchildren.There will be no public visiting hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Avenue, Augusta.
