O'NEILL, Joseph T. March 3, 1929 - July 23, 2010 Joe passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 23, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Joe was predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth. He will be forever remembered by his children; Kathleen (Larry) Reichert, Maureen Walker, Margaret Irwin, Patrick O'Neill and Frances (John) Greco. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren; Jasmine, Darcy, Brett, Brenden, Shanna, Sydney and Nicolas. Joe was born and raised in Halifax, N.S. and made Calgary his home in 1950. He began his career and met his future wife Ruth at the Palliser Hotel. He retired from the Palliser in 1990 after forty years of service. He will always be remembered for his gentle and determined nature and his love and enthusiasm for his grandchildren. A celebration of Joe's life will held Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oval Room of the Palliser Hotel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, No. 201, 222 - 58 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2S3.
