Avis de décès de Joseph-John Lessard


Joseph John Lessard Sr., 69, husband of Ivy (Jackson) Lessard, passed away Wednesday, (August 17, 2005) at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, VT with his family at his side. He was born August 10, 1936 in White Plains, NY the son of the late William & Trajana (Blais) Lessard. He was a resident of Manchester, most of his life where he was self employed as a carpenter and also worked for Orlando Annulli Construction Co. In 1984 he moved to Richford, VT where he continued his work as a carpenter. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Richford and was a 3rd & 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #2610 of Richford. He enjoyed playing the organ and accordion, listening to music, dancing and camping. He also was very active in working BINGO for the Church and the K of C. He is survived by his wife Ivy Lessard of Richford, they were married March 7, 1986; his children, Lynnette Jacobsen and her husband George of Madison, Karen Lessard and her companion Stephen Liteplo of Manchester, Joseph J. Lessard Jr. of Manchester, Joyce Halloran and her husband Michael of Ellington, and Diane Lessard and her husband Michael Hornat of Manchester; his step children, Audrey Holmes and her husband Gordy of Calgary, Alberta, Thomas Gendron of Richford, Diane Burnham and her husband Murlyen of Glen Sutton, Quebec; his grandchildren, Jacqueline & Keri Halloran, Nichole Nall, and Chantal Madore; two great grandchildren, Tyler & Kayla Nall; five step grandchildren, Patrick, Ryan, Shauna, Vanessa & Corey; a brother and his wife, Rene & Catherine Lessard of Grimsby, Ontario; a sister, Rita Plante of Richford. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Guillmette, and a brother-in-law, Bert Plante. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 20, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in the Berkshire Center Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford For those who wish, contributions in his memory may be made to the Richford Ambulance Service, Main St., Richford, VT 05476.
