Joseph John Lemieux, loving husband, father and gra ndfather passed away on Friday, March 11, 2005. Born in West Brimfield, Massachusetts on January 21, 1916, John moved to Arcadia, California with his family in 1982. A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he served during World War II achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He then commenced a 30-year career with CF&I Steel Corp. in Palmer, MA. John was an avid bowler and lawn bowler. He also volunteered with the Special Olympics and was honored for his many years of service. He is remembered by his family for his charm, humor and unconditional love. He was a wonderful cook and had a magic touch when it came to growing tomatoes. He loved to talk about classic automobiles. John is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Florence; his daughters Gari-Jo McCornock and Janice Gaines and five granddaughters. He is preceded by his son, Gardner. Visitation is at the Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by a Vigil Service. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thu rsday, March 17 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 370 Campus Drive, Arcadia. Burial ceremony to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
