Loving son of Joseph Stephen Flanagan, and the late Lucille Mossi Flanagan. Loving nephew of Catherine Flanagan. Dear son-in-law of Harry and Eileen Callaghan. Dear cousin of Valerie, Jim, Mike and Joey Walker and Roy Mossi. Dear brother-in-law of Maryellen Barrett, Kathy and Bill Frese, Eileen Piazza, Dan and Harlene Callaghan, Dossie and Mike Gorman, Anne and Charlie Gagliano, Trish Callaghan, David and Colleen Callaghan, Shelia Vitale, Joe and Mary Callaghan and Margee and Fred Horrocks. Also surviving are 28 nieces and nephews and one grand nephew. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, NJ on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Short Hills, NJ. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. Flanagan's memory to The Children's Institute, C/O Mr. Bruce Ettinger, 1 Sunset Avenue, Verona, NJ 07044. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Codey Funeral Home, 69 High Street, Orange, NJ on Sunday 4-6 PM and Monday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
