Joseph Edward Aubin, 80, Sarasota, died June 16, 2006. He was born May 19, 1926, in Providence, R.I., and came to Sarasota in 1971 from Key Biscayne. He retired as a licensed building contractor and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Catholic and a member of the VFW. Survivors include daughters Joanne C. Harwell of Sarasota and Patricia J. Sadler of Bradenton; a son, William P. of Sarasota; a sister, Ada Gonya of Warwick, R.I.; a brother, P. Albert of Warwick; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be announced. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.
