Hebert, Joseph Carlysle He was born Sept. 23, 1922. He was 82 years old and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. He died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at 4:27 a.m. at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was a decorated World War II veteran and recipient of the Navy Cross. He was a member of the American Legion and AMVETS. He was a 1939 graduate of Catholic High School and a 1949 graduate of LSU. He had been with the Department of Commerce and Industry and retired from the Louisiana State Department of Education. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005. Visiting at St. Jude Catholic Church from 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, until religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Marie Nash Hebert; a son, Russell Hebert and his wife, Gayle Hebert, Baton Rouge; daughters, Toni Toups and her husband, Henry, Denham Springs, Marybeth Kling and her husband, Kelly, Baton Rouge, and Kathleen Richardson and her husband, Ray, Irving, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Kevin Gibson and his wife, Barbara, Dee Dee Rentz and her husband, Burt, Kesia Kling Campbell and her husband, Robb, Brandon Kling, Adam Richardson, Joseph Richardson and Packer Hebert; and great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Madison Rentz. He is also survived by two brothers, John Hebert and Fred Hebert, both of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sidney Sr. and Mary Helena Hebert; a sister, Beth Hebert CSJ.; and brothers, Albert S. Hebert Jr., Thomas Hebert and James Hebert. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Kevin Gibson, Brandon Kling, Adam Richardson, Joseph Richardson, Burt Rentz and Robb Campbell. A special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, especially Sandy, Jamie and Betsy. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Jim Brooks and the oncology staff at Ochsner Clinic. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
