Joseph Bourbeau August 26, 1948 - April 25, 2009 Plainfield - Joseph A. Bourbeau, Jr., 60, of 20 North St. Beloved husband of Susan (Kolek) Bourbeau, died Saturday afternoon at his home. He was born August 26, 1948 in Putnam, a son of the late Joseph A. and Rose (Lamiotte) Bourbeau, Sr. and had lived in Plainfield for most of his life. He was a member of the Connecticut National Guard for 18 years retiring with the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Bourbeau had been employed as a Maintenance Supervisor for Equity Residential for six years, retiring due to ill health. He enjoyed working on cars with his sons. Besides his wife he leaves two sons and daughters in law, Joseph A. Bourbeau III and his wife Amanda of Plainfield and Stephen L. Bourbeau and his wife Jill of Brooklyn. A daughter and son in law, Charlene and Robert Wheaton of Canterbury. One brother, Robert Blake of Moosup. Two sisters, Marie Guertin of Arizona and Rosalie Blake of Moosup. 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Donald Blake. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be conducted Friday at 12:30 PM in Evergreen Cemetery, Central Village. There are no calling hours.
