Johnny "J.P." Johnson, age 67, of Dorcas, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. He was born in Laurel Hill on Oct. 29, 1946, and was a life long resident of Okaloosa County.J.P was a retired heavy equipment operator, and enjoyed farming and fishing. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era.J.P is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Myrtis Johnson, three sisters Eloise Ulrich, Liz Johnson, Jewel Carlton, and one niece Debbie Eisenberg.He is survived by one daughter Shanna Johnson, one brother Cody Johnson, two sisters Vioma Miller, Oleda Rembisz, nieces and nephews Tracey Ward, Becky Arnett, Calvin Miller, Nicole Orxley, Sara LaPorte, Dewayne Ulrich, Mary Agnes Fletcher, Ashley Swinford, Whitney Redmon, Alexis Cooper.A Celebration of life will be held Monday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Brackney Funeral Ser-vice with Mr. Calvin Miller officiating.
