Johnnie Mae Brown, 75, of Campbellton died, Feb. 5 at her resident. She was born to the late Jessie Rhynes and Rose Ellis Rhynes Jan. 21, 1935 in Campbellton. She joined church at an early age became a missionary and traveled throughout the country ministering and teaching God's word. She inspired those she came in contact. She was preceded in death by two daughters and one son. Cellie Frances Jackson, Earnestine Jackson and Nathaniel Jackson. She survived by one daughter Nester Latonya Watford and husband Earl; Five Sons, Royal Mack Summerville, Leo Bobby Jackson, Scottie Andrae Jackson, Izel Lorenzo Jackson and Carl Leonard Brown; One sister Wilma Nell Walton; A special God-daughter; Twenty Grandchildren; Twenty-Eight Great- Grandchildren and a host of Great-Great- Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at New Bethel CME Church in Campbellton where the Rev. Freeman Walker Sr. is pastor with Bishop K.C. Moore Sr. officiating. Interment followed in the St. Paul Cemetery in Campbellton with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton directing.
