October 23, 2003 Johnnie Mae Butler Bell, 65 of Syracuse, died Thursday at her home. Born in Panama City, Florida she was a resident of Syracuse for 46 years. Mrs. Bell retired from Lockheed Martin after 35 years. She was a member of the New Baptist Church, Royal-ettes Social Club, the National Bowling Association and the Twin & Triplet Club. Mrs. Bell volunteered at the Rescue Mission on Thanksgiving and Christmas to serve dinners. Her son Charles Raymond Bell, Jr. died in 1978 and her mother Margine Wynn departed in 1998. Survivors: Her twin daughters, Delinda and Deborah Bell both of Syracuse; four sisters, Sarah McCoy and Catherine Hill both of Panama City, FL, Ruby Borens of Merritt Island, FL, and Mattie Malone of Pritchard, AL; one brother, James Carlton Williams of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services: Funeral services Tuesday 11 a.m at the New Testament Baptist Church. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
