Mr. John "Scooter" Williams, a native of Montgomery and a resident of Mobile for the past 16 years, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009.Mr. Williams was a graduate of Gadsden High School and the University of Alabama. He helped organize the Etowah County chapter of the Christian Business Men's Connection. He was the owner of Williams Insurance Agency and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Jasper.Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennifer Adams Williams, Mobile; three children, Caroline Muree Williams, John Reid Williams and Ellanor Marjorie Williams, all of Mobile; his mother and stepfather, Marjorie and Charles Boman, Gadsden; his father and stepmother, William "Billy" and Diana Williams, Southside; two brothers, Phillip Williams and Jeff (Deana) Williams, both of Gadsden; one stepsister, Mary Faye Cohn, Birmingham; three stepbrothers, Lloyd (Jan) Boman, Gadsden, Jonathan Aycock and Jason Aycock, both of Tuscaloosa; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randall and Muree Adams, Mobile; one brother-in-law, Jeffrey Adams, Mobile; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Gadsden, with the Rev. Bruce Word and the Rev. Bryan Blass officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The "Scooter" Williams Children's Fund, Wachovia Bank, 205 S.
