WILLIAMS, JOHN "J.W.", 66 Gainesville - John. Williams, 66, died May 30 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center. A native of Patsburg, Alabama he moved to Gainesville forty-eight years ago and worked as a brick mason. Survivors include: Longtime friend and companion Betty Black, one daughter Peggy McKnight, Step-daughter, Debra Williams all of Gainesville, FL Step-son George Nero, Tallahassee, FL. Three brothers Willie Williams Melvin Williams and Billy Ray Williams all of Gainesville, FL. Five sisters Doris Cross, Betty Ramsey, both of Gainesville, FL. Mary Swopes, N. Chicago, IL., Olean Charles, Jennings, IA. Dorothy Williams Summerfield FL. Three grandchildren, Kiera, Dora, Chelsey McKnight Gainesville, FL. Funeral Services for Mr. Williams will be held at 3:00 PM Friday June 8, 2007 at Passage Family Church Pastor George Dix, Jr. Minister, Assoc. Pastor Johnny Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery under the care of CHESTNUT FUNERAL HOME 18 N.W. 8th Ave Gainesville, Fla. Visitation Thursday Chestnut Chapel 12:00 - 8:00 PM and on Friday, one hour before the service. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The cortege will form at the home of his daughter Ms. Peggy McKnight 1432 N.E. 19th Place at 2:15 PM."A Chestnut Service" Since 1914
